I live in a small home on the outskirts of Roanoke, Virginia with my beautiful dog, Carlie, and wild torti cat, Mina. I am a thirty-something female who has just recently decided to return to school for a Master’s in Community Counseling. This is a full-time program and I work part-time in mental health. I’m also a cycling addict.
If/when I become independently wealthy (I keep meaning to buy lottery tickets), I will spend my days walking Carlie in the woods, riding my road and mountain bikes, enjoying the company of friends and loved ones, and the solitude of my home and stables where my rescued horses live. This dream is not much different than my current lifestyle, save for the horses and the sometimes brutal demands of a full-time Master’s program. Much of my life these days finds me too busy to write or with too much material that is confidential. But I write, never-the-less, because I need the process, the expression, and the space to share my thoughts and photographs. Thanks for reading.
